The county coordinates the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme to enable members of Guiding to take part. You do not need to join with other members of of your unit, so please still get in touch of you are the only one that is interested in participating.

The Award training runs from September to July to coincide with the rest of the Guiding calendar and to fit in expeditions between Easter and the end of the summer holidays. If you have read the leaflet above and are interested, please download the enrolment form

External Participants Volunteering with Guiding - Information for Leaders

Even if you are not doing the D of E Award through Guiding, you can still do your volunteering section with us as a young leader, taking the adult leadership scheme, or contributing to Guiding in another way.

Anyone doing their volunteering with Guiding must complete a volunteering registration form and send it to Louis before the volunteering is started. Please contact him if you have any questions or need a copy of the form. The Guider in Charge must carry out a CRB check on all participants 16 years or older before they start their time as a volunteer with GGUK.
